Could Bluetooth remain active?¶

Yes.

Bluetooth can stay enabled or reconnect independently even when mobile data or Wi-Fi appears disabled.

That matters because nearby devices may still exchange data, support authentication or influence the device's behaviour.

The key point

Treat Bluetooth as its own communication route. Do not assume another isolation control has dealt with it.

What might be connected?¶

Examples include:

vehicle;
keyboard;
tracker;
headphones;
security token;
medical or industrial device;
another phone or tablet.

Preserve the relationship before changing it¶

Do not open pairing menus merely to discover more devices. That can update lists, create new records or initiate connections.

Nearby devices may be evidence sources too¶

A watch or vehicle may retain:

notification history;
connection records;
location or movement data;
authentication events; or
copies of content no longer obvious on the main device.

If the relationship matters, preserve both sides.

Bluetooth can return later¶

Reconnection may occur after:

restart;
movement;
return from flight mode; or
the accessory coming back into range.

For vehicle, industrial, security or medically important systems, specialist support may be needed because disconnecting one device can affect wider operation.
