Could logging out remove local cloud data?¶

Yes. Logout may clear cached or offline files, tokens and unsynchronised material and disconnect mounted drives or linked applications.

Preserve local and remote state separately¶

Record service, account, tenant, page, files, sync indicators, offline availability and pending upload. Capture warnings explaining what logout retains or removes.

A live session may be the only available route where credentials or multi-factor approval cannot be reproduced.

End access only for a defined reason¶

Do not log out merely for seizure or handover. Consider provider preservation or narrower session containment first.

If required, record authority, operator, time and every folder, token, application or account entry that disappears.
