Can one person operate several messaging accounts?¶

Yes. People maintain separate work, personal, anonymous, public and group identities across numbers, devices and platforms. Multiple accounts are not suspicious by themselves; each proposed link requires evidence.

Compare independent identifiers and activity¶

Preserve each account separately with stable IDs, usernames, numbers, profile URLs, devices and dates. Then compare sessions, device or application artefacts, recovery details, payments, contacts, shared media, cross-references, timing and communication patterns.

A timeline may show accounts used sequentially or together during one incident. Local tokens and application data can demonstrate availability on one device.

Test innocent shared features¶

Family members may share devices or recovery details, organisations common branding, and profile images can be copied. One matching field is rarely enough.

Report that accounts appear linked and explain each bridge before concluding the same person controlled them. Attribution must still address who used each account for the relevant event.
