Can one SIM be used in several devices?¶
Yes. A removable SIM can move between compatible handsets, and an eSIM can be transferred or replaced. The same subscription may therefore appear against several IMEIs over time.
Reconstruct every device interval¶
Provider registrations may show when the subscription changed equipment. Device records can support insertion, removal or activation depending on the product.
Preserve SIM, IMSI, ICCID, number and each IMEI with original source and precise times. Compare communications before and after the transition.
Interpret movement in context¶
Replacement of a damaged phone is ordinary; rapid switching can also reflect shared use, theft or concealment. The pattern is not self-explanatory.
Link each handset period to possession, location, account logins, applications, photographs and witnesses. Finding the latest device with a person does not attribute earlier use of a different handset.
The point to remember
A subscription can travel between devices; build a dated SIM-to-IMEI map and attribute the user of each handset period separately.
