Does deleting an app delete the account?¶

Usually not. Uninstalling removes software from that handset, while the service account and its provider-held records may continue independently.

Separate three different events¶

Uninstallation, sign-out and account closure have different effects and may occur at different times. The account can remain accessible through another phone, computer or browser and may retain messages, files, payments, security events and linked devices. Some services have a separate account-deletion process and retention rules.

Reconstruct what happened after removal¶

Local installation history, notifications, downloads and backup artefacts may survive. Provider logs, security emails and other device activity can establish earlier or continued use. Absence of the icon does not show the service was never used; account survival does not show it remained active on this phone.
