Can a telephone number move between devices and networks?¶

Yes. A number can follow a moved SIM, replacement profile or provider port and can also appear on linked devices.

Build a relevant-time relationship table¶

For each period, identify provider, number, ICCID, IMSI, IMEI and handset. Activation, porting and provider records explain transitions. A recovered SIM may have used several phones; a current handset may post-date the activity.

Number continuity is not user continuity¶

The service can persist through sale, loss, replacement or changed control. Combine the technical timeline with possession, account and contextual evidence.
