Does a screenshot prove that the displayed event happened?¶

No. It may depict a completed action, draft, preview, failed attempt, later-reversed status or fabricated interface.

Identify source and context¶

Establish where the file came from, when it was created and whether its layout matches the claimed app and period. A genuine screenshot can still be incomplete or received from another device.

Obtain authoritative records¶

Use provider logs, account databases, transaction identifiers and recipient evidence to verify the event and later changes. Visual clues should route the enquiry rather than replace source records.
