How do I preserve a useful result from a reader report?¶

Bookmark the artefact, retain enough surrounding context to interpret it, and create a traceable export while keeping the original reader package unchanged.

Capture more than appearance¶

Record the exhibit and extraction, application and account, participants, artefact type, status, displayed time and zone, record ID and source path. Preserve the relationship to attachments and enough conversation or event sequence to explain the hit. A cropped screenshot or bookmark alone can lose these fields.

Choose an export for its purpose¶

PDF may aid reading, a spreadsheet may aid review, and a focused case package may retain richer detail. Record selections, filters, tool version, date and creator. Where a central or disputed artefact depends on parser interpretation, ask the examiner to validate and preserve it against the source.
