What can Bluetooth records show?¶

They can show a stored trust relationship, observation or connection between devices, but those are different propositions.

Identify the Bluetooth event¶

Pairing may persist long after use; a scan may show only that a signal was detected; a connection can establish communication at a time. Record device name and identifier, class or service, trust state, last-connected value and source. Friendly names are editable, while some addresses rotate or are privacy-protected.

Corroborate time and ownership¶

Audio routing, wearable sync, vehicle hands-free use and matching records on the other device can strengthen a connection. Backup or ecosystem migration may restore a pairing without this handset creating it. Radio range and environment also prevent a detected device from placing the phone in a precise room.
