What can call-history records show?

They can record a call-related event, participants, direction, time, duration and state, but not automatically who spoke or what was said.

Keep the communication system visible

Native phone, internet app, cloud, notification, provider and participant-device records have different coverage. An outgoing attempt is not necessarily answered; a missed incoming alert does not prove awareness; a longer answered state supports connection without identifying the speakers. Zero duration also depends on the system's convention.

Reconcile the event layers

Compare account/SIM, local call state, network or app-provider signalling and the other participant's record. Small time and duration differences may reflect different event stages. Cloud history can synchronise to several devices, so device-specific evidence and human attribution remain separate.

Key takeaway

State the call event the source records, then establish the devices, accounts and people at each end through corroboration.
