What can an online-wallet record prove?¶
A wallet record can establish provider-recorded value sent, received, held, converted, refunded or withdrawn. It identifies account activity, not automatically the registered customer as operator.
Wallet events link internal and external value¶
Records may show user and handle, amount, currency, time, status, funding source, recipient, merchant and transaction ID, plus endpoints, sessions, IP-related data, authentication and security changes. They can distinguish internal provider transfer from movement to a bank, card or merchant.
Balance may combine prior funding, incoming payments and refunds, and linked sources can belong to another person.
Establish access and onward route¶
Preserve all linked identifiers and obtain opening, verification, login, endpoint, session, funding and withdrawal records. Compare devices, communications, merchants and onward value.
Report wallet-account activity unless the combined access evidence identifies the operator.
The point to remember
Use wallet records to establish account and value events, then identify controller and final route from provider, endpoint and contextual evidence.
