What is a hosted wallet transaction?

A hosted wallet transaction is activity in a provider-custodied account. Internal transfers and trades may exist only on the provider ledger, while external deposits and withdrawals create blockchain records.

Provider custody separates customer and network events

Pooled wallets can serve many customers, so an operational address does not identify one account. Provider records may show sender and recipient accounts, asset, amount, fee, status, times, endpoints and authentication even where no hash exists.

Reconcile ledger and blockchain

Preserve provider and account IDs, internal reference, addresses, hash where present, asset, network and times. Ask which events were internal and how external transactions map to them.

Report customer instruction, internal ledger entry, provider custody, network movement and actual user separately.

The point to remember

Hosted-wallet evidence depends on provider ledger and access records as well as any related on-chain transaction.
