What should I ask a hosting provider for?¶
Ask for the customer, payment, assignment, access, support and security records linked to the exact hosting service and time period.
What to do¶
Identify the product first: shared hosting, VPS, dedicated server, storage or another service. Request account dates, assigned resources, historic IPs, logins, administrative activity, provisioning, backups where available, abuse records and support communications.
