Can different users publish content under the same website?¶

Yes. News sites, marketplaces, forums, shared blogs and business platforms routinely allow many accounts to publish beneath one domain.

Attribute the content item, not the domain¶

A page may belong to an editor, seller, forum user, customer or automated feed. Moderators or administrators may later edit, approve or remove it.

The domain is like a newspaper title containing articles by many writers. Identifying the newspaper does not identify the author of one article.

Preserve the exact URL and platform content identifier. Publishing and revision records may show creator, editor, approver and time. Permission history explains what each account could do. Access logs, messages and device evidence can identify the person behind the relevant session.

Visible author labels are useful leads but may be aliases, account names or editable text. Shared accounts and imported content can also obscure who performed the action.

Separate creation, submission, approval, editing and publication. A platform may automatically release scheduled or user-submitted material after another person configured the workflow.
