Websites, Domains & Internet Infrastructure Technical Explainer

Can one user control several pages, profiles or stores?

Yes. Platforms often allow one account or business manager to administer multiple pages, profiles or storefronts. One person can also maintain separate accounts across different services.

Look for distinctive shared control

Useful links include the same administrator account, recovery details, device, payout destination, advertising account, analytics identifier or private contact information. Platform business-manager records may directly show which assets were grouped beneath one account.

Common appearance, a shared IP address or use of the same popular template is much weaker. Agencies and contractors can create genuine technical overlap across unrelated clients.

Think of several shops using one bookkeeper: shared access may identify the service provider, not common ownership.

Map each asset independently before comparing it. Check when the shared identifier was present, which permissions it carried and what actions it performed. A connection added after the relevant event cannot establish earlier control.

Test shared networks, staff accounts, franchises, compromised credentials and third-party marketing arrangements. Stronger attribution usually combines account structure with payment, device and communication evidence.

The point to remember

Use several distinctive, time-matched links to establish common control and test legitimate management relationships.
